If you watch TV or listen to the radio you undoubtedly will see or hear a barrage of “free” credit report or credit score offers.  Companies also advertise debt relief or debt settlement for pennies on the dollar.  As I, and probably you too, have found out, very few things in life are really free.  First, as we have noted before on our site, there is only one free website to obtain all three of your credit reports.  www.annualcreditreport.com  Notice it does not mention “free” in the name.  This site was established by the three major credit bureaus to give people a common site to obtain their credit reports for free.  Secondly, most of these companies touting pennies on the dollar settlements or to magically get you out of debt can not do anything that you yourself can do for free.  Let’s take settling debt for example.  You can do this just as easy as anyone if you know what to do.  We have listed several key points in our credit 101 flyer.  Just click on the credit 101 tab on our website www.goodcreditfile.com and then download the credit 101 flyer in the lower right hand corner.  How simple is that and it won’t cost you a penny!  There is a whole section in this program dealing with debt settlement and how you can negotiate on your own behalf.  If you will use these powerful techniques, I’ll bet you have good results.
